Our first trainer is Lukasz Goralski. He started training in the Knights of Eanna when we first became a club back in 2016. We have come a long way under Lukasz. Lukasz is an experienced player who moved to Ireland 13 years ago and has been working as a coach all around Ireland since. Lukasz mainly works in primary schools, but also in some colleges, and was the Leinster Chess Union League Controller for 3 years. He is rated at 1677 and is a great addition to our team here in the Knights of Eanna.
Luke Scott is our second trainer. He is 20 years old and has been playing chess since 2012. He has been working as a coach, both privately, and in schools since 2016. Luke is currently ranked 88th on the Irish rating list, and played for the Irish Junior Chess team from 2013 to 2018, notably winning the Glorney Cup (Six nations event for chess) in 2016. He has represented Ireland in European and World Championships, travelling all over the world to compete in events. In recent years he has focused his efforts more towards coaching and organisation. At present, he’s heavily involved with the Irish Chess Union, as Public Relations Officer, the Trinity College Chess Society, as Club Captain and Treasurer, and until recently was the tournament director for the Leinster Schools Chess Association. He is currently working for Grandmaster Alexander Baburin’s School of Chess teaching in primary schools across Dublin. He became one of our coaches in 2018, and we are glad to have him on our team!
